Jessica Miller was born in Bangor, Maine. She has always been interested in photography-from making goth photos in the graveyard as a teenager, to working for newspapers as a photojournalist, to shooting bands, actors, and everyday people for album packaging, ad campaigns and magazines. Her work has been featured in the Guggenheim Museum's Stillspotting project, in the LA Flash project for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and in Photo District News. Jessica earned an MFA in Photography, Video & Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2012, a BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2003, and a BA in Psychology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in 1999.
